A day at beach clean-up in Mumbai led to the foundation of the company named Beco.

The trio, i.e the co-founders of the company after realising the danger our environment is in, came up with a company that is eco-friendly inside-out.

“Every plastic item used today will come back to haunt one day” With this bitter reality in mind, this initiative was started.

Beco offers sustainable and chemical-free alternatives to everyday consumables like bamboo tissue papers, dishwashers, toothbrushes, biodegradable garbage bags and a lot more.

The environment we are surrounded by is a crucial part of our lives. Each year over 300 million tons of plastic are produced and more than 8 million tons of plastic trash find its way into the world’s oceans. Plastic pollution has become one of the biggest environmental issues and its rapid consumption is leaving a dent in our environment, our earth.

The plastic ban in July 2022 was implemented to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic and encourage companies to come up with eco-friendly alternatives and at the same time, encourage people to choose sustainable options available and reduce the consumption of plastic from their end.

Let us ask a question to you, Do you think as an individual on this planet we are going in the right direction?

We are but this is not enough, reversing the damage of 100 years cannot happen in a day. We can try to shift the way we live into a more sustainable way and come up with different strategies to reduce the impact of plastic on our environment.

There are several changes you can implement as an individual that can have a positive impact to save our precious earth, the earth which is our home.

  • You can use your own cloth bags at the grocery store instead of taking one-time-use plastic bags.
  • You can use a metal or bamboo straw for drinks.
  • Get involved in a local cleanup day to reduce the plastic waste which already exists in the environment.
  • Avoid single-use plastics, Some common examples that contain single-use plastic include plastic cutlery, coffee cups, sanitary products and cigarettes and more.
  • Trash Audit, a way in which you can keep track of what you are throwing away frequently and get a sustainable alternative for it.

We are living through difficult times, but we can improve the situation by taking care of the environment like our own.

Let’s shift the cycle towards a greener, sustainable future, TOGETHER
